Baby Bump: 32 Weeks & 5 Days

Ola! :)

I've been away for a while haven't i? Just been so busy with preparing for my little gathering of a baby shower that happened over the weekend. I'll blog about that soon as i'll still getting the pictures edited and i'm also tweaking my online shop's blog, Http://crimsonrose-boutique.onsugar.com which has been driving me nuts as it isn't as easy as it seems, with all the 'shopping cart' widgets etc that you have to tweak before putting the HTML codes up. But it's been going good so far, so hopefully, it gets easier with time.

So many of you have requested for me to upload new pictures of my baby bump, especially since the last one was done AGES ago. My bump is so much bigger now, and i swear, it grows by the day! Sham has stopped complaining that i should eat more, he said the reason why my baby bump before was due to the fact that i wasn't eating enough. It's actually because my muscles are still tight and was keeping my body in 'shape' though over the recent weeks, have probably started to wear out with the size of my growing baby.

Valentines day this year was extra special for the both of us, because unlike the majority that were wine and dining as well as giving/receiving flowers, we were visiting my OB-GYN for our monthly check up for our baby. It has been the best Valentines to date. Nothing is better than seeing your child on Lovers day. A child is indeed the biggest gift of love. :)

So Princess K (that's the initial for her first name) weighs about 1.5kilos now and is about 20cm in length. Doc says that she's tall and slim. Tall just like her mummy! She's currently putting on her fats, so she won't be slim for that much longer i'm guessing. Sham's going to have a hard time should she follow my footsteps! Our little model in the making!! Oh the amount of boys Sham's going to worry about! HAHA. We've also dropped down to 3 weeks for our next visit, which is on the 7th of March. I CAN'T WAIT!

Back to topic, i took some shots of myself and my baby bump today, but my camera went a little wonky and started vibrating and i couldn't get a decent shot and had to use the Mac's photobooth to take most of the shots. They're pretty clear, but not as good as my digicam. But good enough! I only managed to get 3 shots with my digicam before it decided to get crazy on me, so here's the shots!

I also took out my measuring tape to measure my baby bump, and i'm at 40 inches! Supposedly, i'm still much smaller than most, but hey, its okay! It's normal.

Notice that line under my belly button, yeah, it has become darker. :( I really think it's so ugly. I can't wait till it starts to fade off! I don't have a single stretch mark yet though, i've been obsessively using my cocoa butter cream from Palmers at least twice daily. I've even ordered the Victoria's Secret Cocoa Butter Sensuous Escape Deep-Nourishing Body Lotion which i am definitely going to overdose myself in! I LOVE COCOA BUTTER! I've heard from my friend, Marianne (If you're reading this, HELLO!!), that the one from The Body Shop is great too! Cocoa butter does not guarantee that you WILL NOT get any stretch marks, instead, it helps to reduce it. So of course, i put it all over myself, especially on my tummy and thighs, the most prone areas for stretch marks. Oh and the bum too! I've also started noticing that my skin has started to become somewhat dry and i read that it's part and parcel of pregnancy. So any body lotions i can get my hans on, currently all from Body Shop, goes all over me!

Anyways, here's some interesting facts i found! Hope you find it just as interesting as i have.

"Where's the Pregnancy Weight Going?"

The normal weight gain through out your pregnancy would be about 25-35 pounds. Though, you won't be giving birth to a baby that heavy, here's how it is distributed.

Baby: 7.5 pounds

Placenta: 1.5 pounds

Amniotic Fluid: 2 pounds

Uterine Enlargement: 2 pounds

Maternal Breast Tissue: 2 pounds

Maternal Blood Volume: 4 pounds

Fluids in Maternal Tissue: 4 pounds

Maternal Fat stores: 7 pounds

To end this off, here's some nonsense photos i took of myself while on photobooth. Oh, and look at my 'strawberry' nails! So cute right? :p

Toodles!!

  3. Hihi :) good to see u on Hazelnutt House (",)
I use Dr Hauschka Blackthorn oil.

I started with Cocoa Butter too but I dunno why, I got really sensitive to scents while preggers and the scent gave me headaches. I believe any oil or moisturizers will do the job of minimizing stretch marks if you use it religiously. Need to keep the skin moisturized and full of elasticity in order for it to stretch without tearing.

oh yes oh yes... remember to rub some on your boobs too! coz they get stretched too!

    Ditto! Moisturize boobies! :p

New Paper New Face 2011

Hey! Today, i bring you news about this year's New Face competition! :) For those of you who don't live here in Singapore, the New Face competition is one of the biggest modeling competitions held here. It had unearthed beauties from all walks of life and many of whom has made quite a name for themselves in the industry. It has helped so many girls shine and achieve their goals, and i am glad to say, i made it to Top 20 last year and have graduated to the very prestigious alumni of New Face girls. :) Every year since i joined the modeling industry, i entered a competition, to better myself and gain confidence. I remember i started off with Singtel Grid Girls back in 2008 and not having much confidence at all. But the New Face competition was something i had wanted to join since the age of 15. It took me another 2 years, to build up that confidence to go to the walk-in auditions and i am glad i did. (Spot me if you can!) It has been such an amazing experience for me, i learned s

My Baby's Hiccups!!

Finally managed to catch my baby's hiccups on camera! It happens so often these days. Almost every night actually. Poor little girl! I wonder, why do babies get hiccups in the womb?

Colic Horror!

A couple of days ago, we went to KK Women's and Childrens Hospital because Kiara was crying non-stop for 2 hours straight. It really broke my heart to see her cry that way. Usually i'm fine when she cries for any other thing, but seeing her tears and the pain in her eyes, was just unbearable. We were actually trying to put her to sleep, and then out of no where, started crying uncontrollably! For some reason, we totally forgot to swaddle her, that actually helps a whole lot, but it just slipped our minds, we tried gripe water too but to no avail. Sham then decided what the heck, we'll just go to the hospital. We ended up staying at the hospital till 5am! Doc gave us some drops to help with her colic, and so far so good. She's gone to bed every night without ballin' her eyes out. I can't wait till she passes 4months. They say colic is the worst in their early months. :( Anyways, on to some updates, we took her weight when we got to the hospital, guess that's
