Got Milk?

With just 2 more months to walk solo, i've been making sure i get everything ready for the princess' arrival. That includes what ever i may need, especially nursing bras! I plan to breast-feed her for at least a year. Well, i will try. I hope i can. You know what they say, BREAST IS BEST! heh. I'm quite looking forward to it actually. Though some have told me it hurst when you first start, nipples get sore etc. but i find, it's a beautiful bond between mother and child. No one but you will have that very special bond with your baby. And that's what i want the most. That unbreakable bond with my baby girl. :)

Recently, i've made a purchase with Baby-Avenue for their range of maternity bras they carry. I posted it in a couple of entries before. They only carry 3 different types/colours of that particular brand, HOTMILK but sadly, only one had my size, and it just so happened to be the one i liked the most too!

I like how it's still sexy, and come on, how can something like that not make you feel sexy? Besides, i've been embracing my new curves, and if you're pregnant, start embracing those sexy curves hot mama! (If you're one of those who has been feeling like a fat cow/whale, please slap yourself. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL, and the most beautiful women in the world, are pregnant women!)

So anyways, the people who run Baby-Avenue have been real great, i had initially ordered 2 sets, but they rang me up a few days ago to let me know that they only had 1 left in my size and that the delivery guy will personally send my items as well as refund me my remaining $$. I was quite surprised, i thought they would just send it in the mail, especially with something so small! But YAY! I received my set today, about an hour ago to be exact! And i love it! It's so comfortable, and has amazing support. In case some of you didn't know, nursing bras DO NOT have any underwire. Its purely cloth. :) AND AND AND, its oh so sexy! :D

So i went to their official website, HOTMILK and very excitedly made a new order for 2 more bras!! (NOTE: They do not sell it in sets, you have to "Add to Cart" a bra and matching bottoms seperately) They are also having END OF LINE SALE WITH UP TO 40% OFF! I remember checking their website a couple of weeks ago and saw that each bra cost about USD$50 and i was like, nah, that's way to much! So lucky me, when i saw the sale, i knew it was fate! They are also having FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE on orders above USD$80! :) I ordered 2 sets which nicely came to a total of about $100+ and i can't wait to receive them!

If you have been looking around Singapore for nice nursing bras like i have been doing, you'll come to find that they have quite unflattering plain white/pearl white ones. I hate how it makes you instantly feel so ugly. And that is the reason why i would rather spend a little more, on something that is going to make me feel beautiful as well as sexy! Besides, with the size of my hooters, *ahem* especially now pregnant, it's almost impossible to find one in my size. Even if i do, they would most probably be sold out because they only bring in a few pieces. :(

Anyways, do check out HotMilk's website, you'll even see that some celebrities like Kendra Wilkinson, Jenifer Hudson and even Kourtney Kardashian are fans! I'm off for my afternoon nap. Stay beautiful!

XOXO

A baby brewing, again?!

I can't thank the people who have followed my blog from the get-go for all your words of encouragement and love. Thank you for pushing me to write again. It warms my heart to hear when my readers tell me they enjoyed reading my journey and somehow felt like they were right there with me too. Big love to you all.  Here i am sitting down and staring at the screen. I feel rusty. I haven't done this in a while. My last post was, well ages ago! But - hello! Seeing as i set up this baby blog of mine some 6 years ago, i felt it is only right that i continue writing in it seeing as, as most of you would know by now, i am baking baby number 2 in the oven! I'm in the last leg of my pregnancy now. I'd call it the 'uncomfortable' stage.  Where you feel like a whale,  your legs are sore,  your body's aching and the baby is kicking like there's no tomorrow.  But,  kicking is good.  Kick away baby,  so momma knows you're growing well.  So let's ...

New Paper New Face 2011

Hey! Today, i bring you news about this year's New Face competition! :) For those of you who don't live here in Singapore, the New Face competition is one of the biggest modeling competitions held here. It had unearthed beauties from all walks of life and many of whom has made quite a name for themselves in the industry. It has helped so many girls shine and achieve their goals, and i am glad to say, i made it to Top 20 last year and have graduated to the very prestigious alumni of New Face girls. :) Every year since i joined the modeling industry, i entered a competition, to better myself and gain confidence. I remember i started off with Singtel Grid Girls back in 2008 and not having much confidence at all. But the New Face competition was something i had wanted to join since the age of 15. It took me another 2 years, to build up that confidence to go to the walk-in auditions and i am glad i did. (Spot me if you can!) It has been such an amazing experience for me, i learned s...

Baby Recipe: Chicken & Carrot Porridge [Plus Storage Solutions]

This is probably one of Kiara's favourite dishes and i believe many asian kids too! It's easy peasy to make and tastes delish! What you'll need: Minced Chicken Diced Carrots Rice (Brown Rice if you want the healthier choice) Bovril (optional) Garlic (optional) Chicken Stock (optional)   For all the items that i stated as optional, it's really up to you which you would prefer. Some would rather skip bovril & garlic and just use chicken stock, where as some would do the opposite. So that part is really up to you how you would like your baby's food to be. I personally have used all 3 methods and Kiara likes them all the same. Step 1 : Add rice and carrots into a pot of boiling water (or boiling chicken stock). You can add  finely chopped garlic if you would prefer to add more flavour to the dish. I let this simmer in for about 15/20 minutes till the carrots are relatively softer. Plus rice takes a while to cook too! Once done, add in your minced chicken which cooks...
