Pretty Feet

With the baby well on her way, and just about a month left too, that can only mean one thing! I CAN START WEARING MY HEELS AGAIN! Time to dust the heels i have stored! I've always been a heels kinda girl. I own ONLY 4 flats. My Adidas Superstar's, Puma Rudolf Dassler Pumps, Charles & Keith Studded Pumps and my Puma Alexander McQueen's. Well, you don't count slippers right?

So lately i've been crazy for animal prints. But only for shoes. I don't fancy them on my clothes, i find it a tad bit too tacky. But prints on shoes? I'll take that anytime! I've been on the hunt to look for the perfect heels! At first it was only for Leopard prints, but now, oh boy! oh boy! I found a zebra print one i'm absolutely mad about! It comes in the leopard print version too. But for some reason, it just doesn't look as good? Take a look!

See what i mean? I think they're both mad beautiful, but the prints on the leopard one just ain't 'popping' for me. Where as the zebra one, oh good gosh! I'm crazy about! Both the shoes above are USD$25 from GoJane.com which is such a steal! Think about it, shoes like that in the retail stores are gonna cost way more than that! Plus they have free shipping within the continental US above USD$50. (I use VPOST to ship it to Singapore, i find it is cheaper.)

So i looked around the whole website to find other items i might take a fancy to but failed miserably. :( Everything i went "OOOH!' for, was not in my size. I'm a 6.5, so it's a little hard as most of the time, shoes in that size is the first few to go. I searched high and low and finally settled on these pretty babies.

I've been searching high and low for sandles like that! I love how it looks! I first saw them on a girlfriend of mine, and i knew i had to get myself a pair. The one above is in faux suede which also comes in a red version. But well, i decided on black as the other shoes i grabbed were already pretty 'loud'. Sandal's are USD$24.80. The last pair i got, i HAD to get. See my love for prints? The leopard flats were going at just USD$12.70!! Now you tell me where you can find that in Singapore for that price?! Anyways, as much as i adore my heels, i am having a new born baby soon and i can't be wearing heels all the time! So i still should invest in some pretty shoes to adorn my pretty feet! :)

Now to just sit my pretty butt down and wait for the arrival of these babies! Oh i cant wait! I can imagine all the ways to dress up!

So tell me, what kind of shoes tickles your fancy?

Checkup at the Docs!

So yesterday was my monthly check up with my Doc to see if our baby is doing well, im doing well etc. Was so excited to go down to see Dr Heng (She's attached to Parkway East Hospital) because then i finally get to see my little ninja during the ultrasound scan! Only thing i wasn't looking forward to was taking my blood test. I can take tattoos, i like getting inked. But needles, i can't take needles. Anyways, In December, i had to head down to the hospital to get a scan done. Think its called the 'Fetal Abnormality Scan', where they check if everything is growing at the proper rate, and all that jizz. So i collected the documents as well as the photos, though we couldn't get a 3D scan of her face because she absolutely refused to turn around to show her face on that day, so we don't have a frigging 3D scan. I'm quite bummed about that really. So the people at the hospital told me to make sure i bring it down to my next appointment visit with Dr Heng so ...

A baby brewing, again?!

I can't thank the people who have followed my blog from the get-go for all your words of encouragement and love. Thank you for pushing me to write again. It warms my heart to hear when my readers tell me they enjoyed reading my journey and somehow felt like they were right there with me too. Big love to you all.  Here i am sitting down and staring at the screen. I feel rusty. I haven't done this in a while. My last post was, well ages ago! But - hello! Seeing as i set up this baby blog of mine some 6 years ago, i felt it is only right that i continue writing in it seeing as, as most of you would know by now, i am baking baby number 2 in the oven! I'm in the last leg of my pregnancy now. I'd call it the 'uncomfortable' stage.  Where you feel like a whale,  your legs are sore,  your body's aching and the baby is kicking like there's no tomorrow.  But,  kicking is good.  Kick away baby,  so momma knows you're growing well.  So let's ...

Low Self Esteem Post-Pregnancy?!

I've had writers block for months to be honest. I felt things were just getting pretty monotonous with this blog and just lost my motivation to write for a while. Then i thought, this is not only a baby blog! It's for you, the mummies, who take the time to read about my journey. I wanted to be able to write about things that bothered me as a mom. Things that not many would write about. Things that truly were embarassing or even ashamed to talk about. So you could share this part of my journey too and know that if you feel like how i do, you are not alone! :) Well, as the title suggest, i had a bout of self esteem problems right after Kiara came along. This was totally new to me! I was always very confident about myself. I loved how i looked, talked, walked etc. I loved my flaws too. I guess that was also because i somehow managed to maintain the slim figure etc. I was even very confident about myself when i was pregnant. I felt beautiful. (Note: Not all pregnant women seems to ...
